Cycling

• More covered cycle parking near the Library and Chemistry
  A new tiered, covered cycle shelter has been installed near the Library and Chemistry buildings, adding more spaces and providing better protection from the weather.

• More cycle parking at the Sports Hub
  The tiered cycle parking at the Sports Hub has been upgraded, creating additional spaces following increased demand in the area.

• More secure cycle storage on campus
  We’ve invested in secure cycle hangars, giving students and staff another option for storing their bikes safely. If the hangars prove popular, we’re looking at opportunities to install more across campus.Find out more about bike hangarsLink opens in a new window

Bus travel

Working with bus operators to improve your journey
We’ve been working with the Students’ Union to raise concerns and feedback about local bus services with operators. Stagecoach has also been making progress on electric charging capacity at its Leamington depot, helping it manage its electric bus fleet more effectively.

We’ve also requested bus monitoring at Leamington and the Interchange at the start of term, helping us understand the impact of timetable changes.

Walking and safety

• Safer, clearer walking routes around campus
  Car Park 18 on Health Centre Road and Scarman Car Park have been resurfaced, with clearer line markings and pedestrian walkways to make getting around these areas safer.

• Improving the route between campus and Westwood Business Park
  ¹û¶³´«Ã½ has contributed to a Coventry City Council scheme to improve the connection between campus and Westwood Business Park. The work will include improved facilities for people walking and cycling along the route.

• Helping keep campus speeds low
  Community speed watch events have been carried out across campus to monitor vehicle speeds and check that traffic-calming measures are helping to keep speeds low.

E-scooters and cycle hire

Lime e-scooters and bikes are now available on campus

Lime has launched e-scooter and cycle hire at ¹û¶³´«Ã½, with a fleet of more than 300 vehicles. You can start and end rides at existing cycle parking locations, helping make it easier to find a vehicle when you need one. We’re also working with Lime and Coventry City Council to explore additional parking locations around places our community regularly travels to and from.
