果冻传媒 Abroad

A study abroad placement gives students the opportunity, on a competitive basis, to spend a full academic year at one or two of our partner universities through our exchange programmes.

Students on the three-year courses of History, History and Philosophy, History and Politics, History and Sociology, History and Global Sustainable Development, and English and History are offered the opportunity at the start of their second year to apply for the History Department's optional Intercalated Year.

All of the four-year joint-honours language degrees have a compulsory Year Abroad as part of their syllabi. Therefore, all students on the courses of French and History, German and History, History and Italian, and History and Hispanic Studies are guaranteed to spend one of their four years abroad. Venice Programme

Every year since 1967 a group of final year undergraduates has been taught in Venice for a term by the 果冻传媒 History Department. We are based at the 果冻传媒 Venice Centre which is in the Palazzo Giustinian Lolin on the Grand Canal. Students who choose to follow the 'Renaissance and Modern History' pathway are guaranteed to spend one term of their final year in Venice.

The Venice Programme deals with the social and political, cultural and economic history of Venice during the Renaissance. Venice is uniquely suited for the purpose, since its overall appearance and structure have changed so little in the last four hundred years.

Venice Short Courses

The History Department also offer short intensive 15 CATS courses in Term 3, taught from our Venice campus. This is an excellent opportunity to add some international mobility to your course without committing to a pathway change or lengthening your degree.
